| Description | This refreshing and lightly stormy cocktail made with dark rum and ginger is simply divine. The cocktail began its story in 1806 when John Gosling landed in Bermuda after 91 tumultuous days at sea. With trial and error, Bermudians quickly realized the perfect union that could be achieved between dark rum and fresh ginger. The Rum & Ginger cocktail made its way out of the Bermuda Triangle on visiting ships, carrying the recipe to places far and wide across the globe. The cocktail is also known as the Dark ‘n’ Stormy, after a British soldier observed the drink and remarked, “the color of a cloud only a fool or a dead man would sail under. Pour straight from the fridge into your glass of choice over ice. Garnish with a lime wedge. Optional: Top off with ginger beer. Sedimentation might occur, shake before use. Once opened, keep in a cool place. |
